It seems quite clear to me that my Antarctica fantasy is not one shared by all. Where's your adventurous spirit? Where's your quest to explore the untouched? Where's your snow boots and orange parkas???

Since there are cruises that sail from Argentina to Antarctica, I know that I am not the only freak that has it on a "to do" list.

So come on kids....doncha wanna come with?

LOL you forget that I live the Antarctica sans penguins 4 months a year

Probably for me my ultimate vacation would be to have the time and rescources to drift through Canada's high north fishing or hunting as the need arose

I think the cruise idea is cool; I have read that the routes to Antarctica need to be closely watched because of all the ice (thinking 'Titanic' here...); they are not ready for the demand they are experiencing for 'eco-tourism'.

I would like to go to a tiny little cabin my husband's aunt has in Finland. It is in the Lapland region, above the Arctic circle. Part of the year, the sun never comes up, and the other part - it does not set. That would be neat to experience (with very heavy curtains, I might add).

I can have my snow boot and parka packed in 10 minutes. I'm a born and bred (Manitoba) cold-weather person trapped in a location where winter consists mostly of dull grey rain.

You choose someplace tropical and I'm your travel partner! :-)

If I want somehting untouched I'll take my wife to bed. I bet that when I stick it in, dust will blow out. So why freeze my ass off, too? I'll stick around and watch tv.

Yeah - the pictures still don't entice me. Pop a National Geographic DVD in the player and live vicariously - without the subzero temps.
